Microsoft Adcenter

As the pay-per-click (PPC) market continues to expand Microsoft were busy promoting their own PPC service at the recent AdTech show at Olympia.

Microsoft are claiming their PPC service will offer significant advantages over Google and Yahoo Search Marketing offering in terms of profiling, targeting, tracking and conversions. At this early stage the jury is still very much still out on how effective Microsofts service will be in capturing marketshare from the two leaders, however their has always been anecdotal evidence that msn user's deliver greater conversions which should naturally lead to a great deal of interest. Register your .jobs domain name

A quick reminder that registration for the .jobs top level domain names is available to all qualifying companies.

.jobs has been introduced to enable HR professionals connect directly with job seekers. It is anticipated that over time the .jobs name will become as familiar to searchers as the .com, .org, .info etc. Typical applications will include www.'yourcompanyname'.jobs although we will have to wait and see if any creative executions to support specific recruitment campaigns begin to appear. Additionally, to deter cybersquatting the validation process does require applicants to provide supporting documation, although as always expect some brand infringments once the popularity of .jobs increases.
