Most Popular Search Engines

Comscoreus_1

Given the undoubted success of Google in securing centre-stage as far as online searching is concerned, it's not surprising that many of our clients have become 'Google centric'  in their outlook. By this I mean they really only consider their performance on Google when analysing their online performance. However, it's worth remembering that recent figures put Googles' market share of searchers at anywhere between 45 - 60%. Whilst impressive, the flip side is that by focusing exclusively on Google, websites are potentially missing some 40 -55% of the actual marketplace. This is even more important given the generally higher propensity of Microsoft users to make purchases rather than the high volume of 'tyre-kicker's sometimes delivered by Google.
