Google buys Feedburner

A little late with this one, but I have recently picked up on the fact that Google has purchased Feedburner which seems a pretty obvious acquisition at first glance. Whilst the purchase will no doubt provide Google with some niche advertising channels and a much greater degree of exposure into the burgeoning blog (sphere), for most of us the real benefit is likely to be the integration of Google Analytics with Feedburner subscription management and administration capabilities. For the most part, many companies have relied on Google Analytics to track site visitors whilst using Feedburner Analytics to track and manage site subscriptions, a distinct yet subtle difference.

Hopefully, it won't be too long before we see some integration of these separate user tracking capabilities into a single unified resource!
