The New Rules of PR: How to create a press release strategy for reaching buyers directly

Webinknow_4

As many of you know I'm always on the lookout for interesting sources of information, reports, white papers and commentary and insight from knowledgeable folk. Well I've been checking out David Meerman Scott over at his blog 'Webinknow' for a while and I must say he's a pretty interesting guy with some really insightful ideas regarding 'online thought-leadership'.  He's made it on to my list of notable blogs and I've also discovered that he has written a useful guide to online PR 'The New Rules of PR' which apparently has been downloaded some 10,000 times (make that 10,001 now!).

The guide is a great starting point for those looking to gain a better understanding of how to build an effective online PR strategy: knowledgeable writer, valuable insights, easy to read and digest, recommend you download and read now!

Search Marketing Fact Pack 2007

Ad_age_search_fact_pack

Advertising Age has released their annual review of the on line search marketing business. The 52 page document is packed full of interesting information and statistics, although it obviously has a US bias.

Most valuable (for UK) readers is the synopsis of the big five search engines, Google, Yahoo, MSN, AOL and Ask which provides a useful insight into their revenues, recent acquisitions and possible plans for the future.

One interesting fact I gleaned from the data, is that whilst 35% of marketers are managing fewer than 100 keywords within their paid for search, the top 6%  are currently managing around 20,000 words - this point alone should give UK marketer's cause to review their own levels of investment in online search!

The complete document is available for download at: Search Marketing Fact Pack 2007
